Simply put, hanks are used to connect a sail to a boat.  If you want to get technical, they attach a hanked-on jib to a sailboat’s forestay.  We love them as they are heavy-duty and high quality.  We pull them off the retired sails that are donated to us and turn them into keychains.  You are much less likely to lose your keys when they are clipped to your pants.  Includes two key rings and a quick-release so you can take your bike, car, or van key with you when you shred.
